Prime Video releases trailer for Batman: Caped Crusader

We see the first moving images of Batman: Caped Crusader, the new series from Matt Reeves, JJ. Abrams and Warner Bros. Animation.

We also hear Hamish Linklater's voice as the Dark Knight himself for the first time in the trailer. According to the official description, there are more corrupt people than good people in the series. Criminals are rampant and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear in Gotham City.

Batman: Caped Crusader

Forged in the fires of tragedy, wealthy socialist Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human: Batman. His crusade for justice attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroics have deadly, unforeseen consequences.

The voice cast also includes Christina Ricci as Catwoman/Selina Kyle, Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn/Dr. Harleen Quinzel and Diedrich Bader as Harvey Dent/Two-Face. The ensemble cast also includes Minnie Driver and Mckenna Grace.

All ten episodes will be released on Thursday, August 1 on Prime Video.

Batman: Caped Crusader comes from executive producers J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves and Bruce Timm. In addition to Abrams, Reeves and Timm, executive producers include Ed Brubaker, James Tucker, Daniel Pipski, Rachel Rusch Rich and Sam Register.
