Earlier this year, Snowpiercer was renewed with its third season. TNT made this decision a couple of days before the second season premiered. Production on the third season has been finished. Next to the fans being able to look forward to the third season, they will also be able to start getting excited about the fourth season. A premiere date for the third season is not yet known, but it is expected to release next year. TNT has announced the fourth season of Snowpiercer.
Snowpiercer is based on the movie with the same name and the graphic novel. It takes place seven years after the world has entered a frozen state after a giant ecologic disaster. The series revolves around those who remain, who are trying to survive by spending their entire life in a massive train that is constantly circling around earth.
