The original series saw a massive boost in popularity on Netflix following its release on the streaming service earlier this year.
Starring Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Gina Torres, Meghan Markle, Rick Hoffman, Sarah Rafferty, Dulé Hill, Amanda Schull, and Katherine Heigl, the series follows Mike Ross (Adams) as he works for successful attorney Harvey Specter (Macht) at a big NYC law firm while trying to hide the fact that he does not have a law degree.
According to sources, the new series is set in Los Angeles, but this has not yet been fully developed. The original series aired for nine seasons on USA Network.
The new series may also air on USA Network. Despite the network's retirement from original series, the cable channel is looking to return to the "blue sky" era of programming, thanks in part to the renewed interest in Suits. The first new series to follow that model could arrive in 2025.
