Jeremy Irons cast in the fourth season of The Morning Show

The Morning Show adds a second Oscar winner to its season four cast.

Jeremy Irons (photo below) has been cast in an important role in the Apple TV+ drama. He will play Martin Levy, the father of Alex Levy (Jennifer Aniston). Irons joins another new face for season four, Marion Cotillard.



The Levy family drama that Martin's arrival brings will likely exacerbate the headaches Alex faces at work as she grapples with the aftermath of UBA's failed sale to Paul Marks' (Jon Hamm) tech company and a possible merger with rival network NBN.

The Morning Show, from stars/executive producers Aniston and Reese Witherspoon and Media Res, explores the cutthroat world of morning news.

The ensemble drama also stars Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, Nestor Carbonell, Karen Pittman, Greta Lee, Hamm and Nicole Beharie. Julianna Margulies will not return next season.

Ratings increased year over year through the most recent third season, and The Morning Show was the most nominated series at this year's 29th annual Critics Choice Association Awards.

The Morning Show is developed by Kerry Ehrin and is produced by studio Media Res, Hello Sunshine and Echo Films. The series is produced by Michael Ellenberg via Media Res, Aniston and Kristin Hahn via Echo Films and Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter via Hello Sunshine.

Mimi Leder is director and executive producer; Charlotte Stoudt is showrunner and executive producer. Micah Schraft and Zander Lehmann also executive produce.

Irons is an Academy, Emmy, SAG, Tony and Golden Globe Award winner. He was recently seen in the film The Beekeeper and will soon be seen in the limited series The Count of Monte Cristo, the latest adaptation of Alexandre Dumas' classic. Irons is also known for his roles as Rodrigo Borgia in Showtime's The Borgias and Adrian Veldt in HBO's Watchmen (2019).
